July 8, 2026. Faxafoss. Iceland, Day 14. Cycled about 20 km to Reykholt in a short break in the rain, where I was able to buy real food and find a campground with proper services (except picnic tables). Other than that, it rained, pretty much non-stop. Everything I own is at least a bit damp. There's laundry here, though, thank goodness. When I got here I discovered that the pain in my stomach was hunger. I devoured half a loaf of bread and peanut butter, plus a can of peaches. #SDDaily. URL: https://ift.tt/mcGgJ4k

July 13, 2025. These are the tracks at Boundary Road a few kilometers west of Avonmore. I wanted to go on a longer ride today, despite the heat. Stopped for a nice lunch at Rockin' Rondas in Avonmore, then had to race the rain on the way back. The rain won. As I stood there in the middle of the gale about 13 km from home, a guy from a nearby farm stopped and offered me a lift. Sweltering

July 12, 2025. A scene on the road just north of St. Albert on my usual cycling loop. Back from Mont Tremblant. Got out for a short ride in some very hot temperatures. I noted to myself that I've reached the point where cycling is actually effortless. P.S. I don't know why, but Flickr photos simply won't upload from my phone, not even with full wifi, which makes the whole process of daily photos harder than it needs to be. https://flic.kr/p/2rgD54k
