May 31, 2024. Blue Jays vs Pirates at Rogers Centre. Baseball weekend is early this year because the travel worked out that much better. We took the train down (I had a MS Teams meeting on the train) and booked into a Sonder. The game went 14 innings and got a little weird near the end - our section started singling (Hey baby... ooo... aaa) and we carried the Jays to a walk off win. https://flic.kr/p/2pVyKEz

July 3, 2023. The view from the train station. We upgraded to business class to enjoy a pleasant ride back complete with a relaxing wait in the lounge and a nice meal served on the train. The cats were overjoyed to see us back again. https://flic.kr/p/2oMpZWa

October 11, 2019. This is a scene from inside Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, where I had lunch. This restaurant is very good and very popular - I had to arrive early for lunch to avoid a long wait. October 18, 2018. Another early morning preparing slides, then I gave the second of my talk today. I spent some time getting all the audio and video uploaded, went to the losing reception, then went for a walk around the city taking photos - the polarized lens really brings out the night shots. October 13, 2018. The beginning of a very busy week in Toronto. Drove from my hotel in Scarborough to Lawrence Station, then took the subway downtown to help the OCADU-IDRC celebrate its anniversary. February 22, 2018. I attended the first day of the Moodle Moot conference today, watching Martin Dougiamas and David Porter (by video), among others.
