Baseball Weekend - Game 2

June 1, 2024. Baseball at Rogers Centre Saturday afternoon. A dog of a game, an uninspired 8-1 loss. https://flic.kr/p/2pVzfhq

Baseball Weekend - Game 1

Image
May 31, 2024. Blue Jays vs Pirates at Rogers Centre. Baseball weekend is early this year because the travel worked out that much better. We took the train down (I had a MS Teams meeting on the train) and booked into a Sonder. The game went 14 innings and got a little weird near the end - our section started singling (Hey baby... ooo... aaa) and we carried the Jays to a walk off win. https://flic.kr/p/2pVyKEz

Blue Jays

February 17, 2023. A pair of blue jays on the back porch after a snowfall. We've been more popular with the jays recently; must be a good selection of seeds and nuts in the feeder. Today the full day is devoted to my technology barriers report. https://flic.kr/p/2ohtKVL

Autographs

Image
March 26, 2018. Toronto Blue Jay Curtis Granderson signs autographs about five feet from where I was sitting. No, I didn't get an autograph - he has really limited time so I left that for the kids. https://flic.kr/p/22Qo17Q

Brett Gardner tees up the first of what would be four home runs for the Yankees in the 8th inning off Jason Grilli. So it was a 7-0 loss for the Blue Jays.

Spring Training

Image
March 1, 2015. The long wait is over. I celebrated the beginning of sprint training by pulling out the 'Angry Jay' shirt for the Tuesday live hangout for my online course. And after the hangout, a delightful afternoon baseball game from Florida. From Flickr http://ift.tt/1Y89Zjy

Pitcher

August 6, 2014. Hutcheson pitches a gem, Bautissta hits a dinger, and Jays win! Jays win! Baseball is a story that unravels differently every night, pitting one player against another. In no team sport is the individual as isolated and alone as in baseball. from Flickr http://ift.tt/V3iS2m
