April 5, 2023. This is a view of the ice building up in the back before my window was covered with a layer of ice. We had thunder, lightning and freezing rain, the first instance of thunder-ice since 1985. It got worse and worse and then around 9 the power went out and never came on. https://flic.kr/p/2orPtzV

January 6, 2023. We had freezing rain yesterday and today with the result that there's a layer of ice over everything. It makes walking treacherous but I was till out for my lunchtime walk. It's good to take a break, especially in winter when the office walls close in on you. Same work today as yesterday, with about the same degree of progress. https://flic.kr/p/2oaw5MV

January 5, 2015. Very cold and crystal clear this morning as an ice fog shrouded the city and coated the trees with hoarfrost. I had a quiet day spent digging into the technology for a bit. December 20, 2015. This place never disappoints. It was a quick stop for a coffee and a photo on the way home from Riviere du Loup today. The truckload of rocks and tires has been safely delivered and I am home watching episodes of Fargo and puttering on the computer. I love love love the shades of blue in this photo.
