St. Lawrence

Image
July 13, 2024. This is the St. Lawrence River near the Long Sault parkway. It was a bright brilliant and very hot day today, and because people were driving so badly I decided to stick to off-road bicycle trails, so I went from the Lost Villages memorial to Upper Canada Village and back, roughly 50 km. https://flic.kr/p/2q3YvE7

Ottawa River

Image
June 26, 2024. The Ottawa River east of the airport. Another day in the office working on CList, and I took a quick lunch hour ride along the river. There was a whole set of aircraft flying over, from WWII vintage to modern fighters, so it was hard to keep my eyes on the trail. Took some photos but I'm going with this one since I did a Snowbirds photo a couple of days ago. https://flic.kr/p/2q19Tdr

Frozen Nation

Image
February 6, 2024. This is the Nation River about 5 km from Casselman. I stopped to get a photo while dropping Andrea off at the dentist. Today was mostly a recovery day, catching up on email that had accumulated during our short trip to Quebec City and figuring out how to eat the most recent trove of vegetables. https://flic.kr/p/2pwNKoM

Cornwall

Image
April 2, 2023. We went for an 11 km walk along the St. Lawrence River waterfront today. It was far colder than I expected, with a brisk wind that cut through my jacket. Still, it was a good walk and quite scenic. https://flic.kr/p/2oqNVXn

Nation River

Image
March 29, 2023. This is the Nation River near the 417, seen on a quick noon-hour bike ride (taking advantage of a few warm hours while we had them). Up early this morning, did a bunch of work on the tech barriers, then a meeting, then more work, and finally back to the city for meds and groceries. Busy busy. https://flic.kr/p/2oq98Aw

Castor River

Image
September 14, 2017. Had a couple of impromptu meetings today and otherwise worked on the Poland paper. On the way home went looking for herbicide for Andrea's buckthorn project. Ended up out in Russell, and I photographed the Castor River at the Limoges Road.

La Pocatière

Image
December 20, 2015. This place never disappoints. It was a quick stop for a coffee and a photo on the way home from Riviere du Loup today. The truckload of rocks and tires has been safely delivered and I am home watching episodes of Fargo and puttering on the computer. I love love love the shades of blue in this photo. Petitcodiac Bridge

Image
July 11, 2015. This is the old rail bridge over the Petitcodiac, as seen from the Salisbury side, taken on my bike ride (56 km) today. From Flickr http://ift.tt/1guKVTN
