Oscar Romero
November 14, 2015. This is a mural inside Oscar Romero airport in San Salvador, El Saalvador. I remember when Romero was assassinated by the junta in 1980. It was the moment, I think, that people recognized the illegitimacy of the government and the need for peace. Romero went to givce mass knowing he would be assassinated, but did so in any case.
