September 21, 2025. We went for a walk around Hog's Back Falls in Ottawa, including along the west shore of the river downstream, where there is no actual trail, a route I definitely do not recommend. P.S. July 13, 2025. These are the tracks at Boundary Road a few kilometers west of Avonmore. I wanted to go on a longer ride today, despite the heat. Stopped for a nice lunch at Rockin' Rondas in Avonmore, then had to race the rain on the way back. The rain won. As I stood there in the middle of the gale about 13 km from home, a guy from a nearby farm stopped and offered me a lift. So the ride was cut short, but in fairness, I did not prepare for rain at all, because ti was only a 50km ride. https://flic.kr/p/2rgHpnM

July 12, 2025. A scene on the road just north of St. Albert on my usual cycling loop. Back from Mont Tremblant. Got out for a short ride in some very hot temperatures. I noted to myself that I've reached the point where cycling is actually effortless. P.S. July 8, 2025. Two monarch butterflies going at it near Arundel, Quebec. We're taking a short break this week in Mont Tremblant and I was on a bike ride on the Corridor Aerobique. A beautiful day, knee still in a brace, but I was enjoying it. https://flic.kr/p/2rfzufp

July 2, 2025. Country road where I have been cycling recently. Another late upload. I've been struggling the last few weeks with a medial collateral ligament injury, caused by all that walking on bad shoes in Toronto. The only thing I can do that doesn't hurt is to cycle (how ironic). Got a brace (my very first brace) and that helps. June 5, 2025. Hazel Mae stays out of the way as the Blue Jays celebrate another win over the Phillies. It was our third ball game and fourth conference day, but no presentations today. June 17, 2025. New trailer arrived today from the Netherlands. After my aborted trial run in May, I decided I was putting too much trust in too few wheels, especially with the extra load required for questionable weather and a long excursion far from home. A lot of research later, I opted for a Radical Cyclone Trekking IV. Tested it on the Norco road bike while I'm still waiting for a new wheel after the issue I had in May.
