July 16, 2026. Westmann Islands. Iceland, Day 22. I cycled 45 km from Hella to the ferry, happily no rain (except at the island) and not so many hills. The wind, though not really a help, was at least not in my face. It was still cold, though, and I was happy to take breaks where I could. This was probably my last long ride of the trip, which should do wonders for my aching bones. #SDDaily. URL: https://ift.tt/vtHagZR

July 13, 2025. These are the tracks at Boundary Road a few kilometers west of Avonmore. I wanted to go on a longer ride today, despite the heat. Stopped for a nice lunch at Rockin' Rondas in Avonmore, then had to race the rain on the way back. The rain won. As I stood there in the middle of the gale about 13 km from home, a guy from a nearby farm stopped and offered me a lift. Sweltering

July 12, 2025. A scene on the road just north of St. Albert on my usual cycling loop. Back from Mont Tremblant. Got out for a short ride in some very hot temperatures. I noted to myself that I've reached the point where cycling is actually effortless. P.S.
