July 14, 2026. Still in Selfoss. Iceland, day 20. Second zero day. It was well chosen. There was a steady heavy rain all day along with a high wind. I rested indoors, except for a brief outdoor walk where I spotted these creatures under the Selfoss bridge. #SDDaily. URL: https://ift.tt/XDA3amN

July 13, 2025. These are the tracks at Boundary Road a few kilometers west of Avonmore. I wanted to go on a longer ride today, despite the heat. Stopped for a nice lunch at Rockin' Rondas in Avonmore, then had to race the rain on the way back. The rain won. As I stood there in the middle of the gale about 13 km from home, a guy from a nearby farm stopped and offered me a lift. July 12, 2025. A scene on the road just north of St. Albert on my usual cycling loop. Back from Mont Tremblant. Got out for a short ride in some very hot temperatures. I noted to myself that I've reached the point where cycling is actually effortless. P.S.
