July 19, 2026. Back in Reykjavik. Iceland, day 25. Packed up in the rain and the wind, rode down to the port, caught the ferry, then took two buses in Reykjavik, rode through better weather to the campsite (thus pic at a grocery stop en route), set up, ate, then watched the world cup. July 13, 2025. These are the tracks at Boundary Road a few kilometers west of Avonmore. I wanted to go on a longer ride today, despite the heat. Stopped for a nice lunch at Rockin' Rondas in Avonmore, then had to race the rain on the way back. The rain won. As I stood there in the middle of the gale about 13 km from home, a guy from a nearby farm stopped and offered me a lift. Sweltering

July 12, 2025. A scene on the road just north of St. Albert on my usual cycling loop. Back from Mont Tremblant. Got out for a short ride in some very hot temperatures. I noted to myself that I've reached the point where cycling is actually effortless. P.S.
