August 11, 2026. Deer Farm. Went for a bike ride this afternoon and photographed this deer at a farm near St. Albert. I'm somewhat surprised to see a deer farm - I remember there was a lot of controversy around elk farming in Alberta, but this farm just arrived here with no fanfare. Also fixed a gRSShopper problem and verified the location of the electronics recycling facility. #SDDaily. URL: https://ift.tt/7rSWaZN

July 13, 2025. These are the tracks at Boundary Road a few kilometers west of Avonmore. I wanted to go on a longer ride today, despite the heat. Stopped for a nice lunch at Rockin' Rondas in Avonmore, then had to race the rain on the way back. The rain won. As I stood there in the middle of the gale about 13 km from home, a guy from a nearby farm stopped and offered me a lift. July 12, 2025. A scene on the road just north of St. Albert on my usual cycling loop. Back from Mont Tremblant. Got out for a short ride in some very hot temperatures. I noted to myself that I've reached the point where cycling is actually effortless. P.S.
