Snow Squall


February 19, 2022. It was nice and clear and then suddenly turned into this: a classic snow squall. From nice to zero visibility in an instant. Today I spent part of the day watching them remove the occupiers from downtown Ottawa streets (basically a zero-violence affair; they quite literally simply pushed them out). Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. Dow's Lake

March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
