April 26, 2021. This small flower has appeared on the front lawn, and is at the moment the only flower on the front lawn. Work day today, starting with an 8:00 a.m. meeting (ugh), evaluations, and reading. I'm getting ready for two talks within 12 hours of each other starting tomorrow evening. https://flic.kr/p/2kVe4RG

Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. Dow's Lake

March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
