Grand Palace

Image
July 30, 2016. Last day in Bangkok. A small grouop of us toured the Grand Palace in old Bangkok, which was very hot and full of people but also stunning. We also saw the Wat Pho and the giant reclining Buddha. From Flickr http://ift.tt/2aeaLZ4

Workshop Day

Image
July 29, 2016. Attended the conference in the morning and then did my workshop in the afternoon. After the workshop, supper and then a short spell in the lounge for a well earned refreshment and entertainment from this Thai musical group. From Flickr http://ift.tt/2aebsSk

Carrying Water

Image
July 28, 2016. In the morning I gave my keynote, and then in the afternoon I had the chance to wander on my own through Bangkok. And wander I did, an unforgettable 10 km route through the posh malls of MBK Bangkok, garden Wats, makeshift housing like seeen here, canals and rivers, by the stadium, through an urban renewal project, more wats, the red light district, and yes, back to shopping malls. Organic Foods

Image
July 27, 2016. Flight day from Chiang Mai to Bankkok, but not before a tour of a large market area and a visit to an excellent organic restaurant near the airport. One nice thing about our group is that the conversations were excellent. From Flickr http://ift.tt/2aHgADt

Wat Chedi Luang

Image
July 26, 2016. Located in the centre of Chiang Mai, this wat dates from the 14th - 15th centuries. It is part of a larger and spectacular complex. I saw it on a brisk (heh) 8 km walk across the width of old Chiang Mai. From Flickr http://ift.tt/2agmmY2

We also then went further up into the mountains to hill tribes. Photos taken with a borrowed EOS 7D camera. Accomplishments: - talk slides and recording From Flickr http://ift.tt/2a23WKQ
