Montreal


January 23, 2024. The view looking north from the 21st floor of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel looking up College Avenue to McGill University and Mount Royal beyond. It's just before five and the dusk has fallen, but it's not yet night. I spent the day here at a workshop on Mongo database design. It was a great day, the event was a lot of fun, I learned a ton, and the venue was great. Took the train home the same night, driving home from Ottawa because it doesn't stop in Casselman in the evening. https://flic.kr/p/2pubqBH

March 22, 2024. Print by someone known as 'Ryan 100' in our room at the Brookstreet. I liked it, through it looked like it was water damaged. It was still the best art in the room. Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
