Blue Jay


March 23, 2021. Our local blue jay paid us a visit today; here it is with a beak full of seeds from the feeder. We had an an abundance of different birds in the back yard today: woodpeckers, cardinals, grackles, sparrows, red-winged blackbirds, and more. Today was also a really nice day for biking, but unfortunately pain kept me indoors (I'm pretty sure it's just a muscle strain, as there are no other symptoms at all). Still, I managed to make pretty good progress on gRSShopper, which is looking better than it ever has. https://flic.kr/p/2kGwYv9

Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. Dow's Lake

March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
