October 31, 2020. I used this photo of my ceiling as an example in a transcript. When I look at our ceiling I see multiple images of dogs - the knots form eyes and a snout. It's an example of how we recognize images, how they emerge out of chaos. Anyhow, today I wrapped up that transcript and also finished off a long-standing piece of writing. Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. Dow's Lake

March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
