May 21, 2024. It looked like a pretty good storm was rolling in but it faded quickly and just dumped some rain and that was it. Worked at the office today, so it wasn't very productive. https://flic.kr/p/2pSDUr4

May 20, 2024. Went for a 50 km bike ride today mostly through Larose Forest. It was a very hot day and the ride was roughly have gravel and half pavement. I rode on the touring bike with a bit of a load and felt pretty worn out by the end. https://flic.kr/p/2pSrYhM

May 19, 2024. This is Parcours Louis-Joseph Papineau on the Quiebec side, where we went for a hike today. I was late getting started, then we tried the trail entrance on highway 317, which no longer exists, then we finally picked it up where it crosses Rang St. Louis. May 17, 2024. I took a quick snap of the apple tree on the way into the office this morning. May 16, 2024. This is a typical scene along the Prescott-Russell trail. I put in a full day of work and then at 4 took off for a good three hours along the trail. Best ride of the year! It was warm (finally!) and mostly sunny, hardly any wind, and I've been cycling enough I wasn't feeling springtime pain. https://flic.kr/p/2pRZLDW

May 14, 2024. This is not a sink. That said, it's not clear what it is. It's located in the Thai Express near where I work and where I had lunch today, on the counter where we empty our garbage and stack our trays. It serves no purpose other than to not be a sink. May 11, 2024. New arrival in the back yard this year, the white-crowned sparrow (zonotrichia leucophrys). As you can see, they stand out as they graze for seeds on the ground. Today was the make-up day for a couple aftyernoons spent cycling this week, and so I spent the full day working and got a lot accomplished, repairing a bunch of mooc sites and moving them to the cloud server. https://flic.kr/p/2pRxV8U

May 10, 2024. More apple blossoms, these near the place where I had lunch by the Costco. Another office day today; I was able to work on a neat idea I've been puttering with, a convergent discussion list. I'm doing it all in Javascript, which is a challenge for me. May 9, 2024. We have one tree outside our office building that flowers every year and I think is an apple tree. Anyhow, here are the blossoms. May 8, 2024. This morning dove is perched at the top of the gazebo in our back yard. The weather has turned and it was rainy and cool today, a good day to work indoors all day, starting in early morning with an Agora session with my European partners, then newsletter stuff and some research on decision-making processes. https://flic.kr/p/2pRrnEn

April 26, 2024. Workers at the Costco use the forklift. I'm impressed they can lift that high up. Today was an office day, and as usual on late Friday afternoon the network slowed to a crawl as (I assume) computer services tries to push updates at a slow time of the week. https://flic.kr/p/2pP5ARh
