Stuck Again


December 30, 2022. Charlemagne is stuck on the ledge again. I know he can jump down; I've seen it. But he far prefers to be stuck and meows until I come down and let him climb on to my shoulder for a lift upstairs. Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
