The Subdivision


February 28, 2021. This was taken from my walk today, looking across the tracks at the new subdivision. When we moved here this was all forest. Obviously I preferred the forest, but we still live in a rural area just a short walk from other forests and farmland and everything else that isn't city. I started my day by writing a blog post, then I worked on making cron work (maybe successfully?) and also preparing for two talks I'm giving back-to-back first thing tomorrow morning. https://flic.kr/p/2kFR5vo

March 22, 2024. Print by someone known as 'Ryan 100' in our room at the Brookstreet. I liked it, through it looked like it was water damaged. It was still the best art in the room. Worked through the morning, drove home at lunch (much easier!) and spent the afternoon working from home. Dow's Lake

March 2, 2024. The frozen surface of Dow's lake with a sheen of meltwater on it. This was a view as I took an 11 km ride on my new bicycle today. First ride of the year, first ride on the new bike.
