September 16, 2023. These are pumpkins near the Avonmore Berry Farm. I was able to get out for a longer ride today, doing a 60 km loop to Avonmore along some gravel roads. I was thinking of going back to the Berry Farm but they had their dogs running loose, and they swarmed me on the bike (maybe they thought I was a bear?) and the owners simply motioned for me to leave, not doing anything about the dogs. September 10, 2023. This is a monarch, seen from the front and below, as it perches on a clover. We saw this and vartious other flowers and insects as we walked along Dolman Ridge Road in Mer Bleue. 5.3 km walk but my back is feeling a lot better today. https://flic.kr/p/2p2odSb

September 9, 2023. This is Peter Gabriel in concert. We saw him at the Canadian Tire Centre tonight. It was a good day; I got a lot of work done during the day, then enjoyed the concert at night. September 7, 2023. Working from the office today I photographed these clover while walking to M-55 to pick up my new laptop. It's a big improvement over my previous corporate laptop. It's still not useful for doing actual research, but fine for corporate functions like taking courses or recording time. Anyhow, I did not find a four leaf clover - and then, when visiting my mother in the afternoon, had a flat tire and ended up spending the night in a hotel. https://flic.kr/p/2p2cKH1

September 5, 2023. Bitcoin machine spotted in a local Shawarma place near where I work. I'm back to the routine of being in the office twice a week - but the only time I see people is when I go out for lunch. Itching is getting better, but my back is really bad.
