June 29, 2014. Canadian Track and Field Championships, Day 2, here in Moncton. A brilliantly sunny day and too hot for me to stay out in the sun for long. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1k5YljW
Juluy 27, 2014. I was up at five and spent the bulk of the day sitting inside a car as Rod and I drove to Halifax and back to meet with a potential commercial partner. Good day, good meetime, but I gained a kilogram and a half. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1rJF2C4
June 26, 2014. NDP Federal Depty Leader and environment critic Megan Leslie gave a talk at an barbeque this evening; provincial NDP leader Dominic Cardy (orange tie) looks on. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1o80IXJ
June 25, 2014. The water drops on these daylilies should be a clue as to the sort of day we had - cool, cloudy and rainy. It was also one of those days I started tired and stayed tired. These are not from my front yard - they're from the coffee shop. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1o4TrYG
June 24, 2014. A beautiful warm spotless daya today, a bit windy, but otherwise perfect. Because I had a meeting this afternoon I decided to forego my noon cycle (as way too sweaty) and take a walk in the forest behind our building, where I spotted this scene. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1mkRAzo
June 22, 2014. 80 km ride. It turned out to be a beautiful day after all, despote dire predictions of rain and even thunder. I took the opportunity to cycle to Point Fort Folly and back, south of Memramcook. This is the former community of Beaumont. The metal structure is what remains of the old lighthouse at the point. Here's a history of Beaumont . from Flickr http://ift.tt/TlTtR3
June 21, 2014. The weather was not kind to the 2014 Highland Games in Moncton, as the rainfall was followed by a muddy mess almost impossible to walk through. They'll be in a different venue next year, count on it. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1m0qnNo
June 20, 2014. Fridays are normally great but this Friday was rainy and grey and dreary, and the internet was out at the office all day, so I worked from home, taking my coffee break at the Drive Thru (well, not really, I always go inside because I like the people at Café Codiac). from Flickr http://ift.tt/UvIkOq
June 19, 2014. Morningw as productive but my lunch was delayed, and when I went for my lunch-time coffee at 2 pm I managed to get caught in a downpour. But the highlight of the day was finally getting my Sony CyberShor to take a good macro photo. And so, this flower, yet another gem from my front garden. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1pPBsZk
June 19, 2014. Yes, I know this is a pedestrian photo. It was that kind of day. Rain all day, ran errands in the morning and spent the afternoon in a long meeting discussing intellectual property. Don't get me wrong; it was very engaging and the best thing to be doing on a dull rainy day. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1pnOQSB
June 16, 2014. Busy day, filled with meetings. Yet another photo-of-the-day saved with a late night cat photo. This is Polly, on the ledge over the stairs, upstairs. Testing IFTTT photo forwarding again (fingers crossed). from Flickr http://ift.tt/1lKTRyT

June 17, 2014. Ever since I saw the duck killed on the highway last year I've had a special place in my heart for ducks. Today was a beautiful day to see ducks, pretty busy but with room for a cycle during lunchtime. That's the pond outside out office, and that's a mallard in the middle of the pond. There's a female in the brush somewhere. This pond has had a nesting pair every year for as long as I've been here. Circle of life. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1pnOOKA

June 4, 2014. No meetings today so I was able to take a more vigorous (read: sweaty) bike ride at lunch, and went up to Irishtown Nature Park, which is the backup reservoir for the city. Trees are almost in bloom. Afternoon: office internet died, posing an insurmountable challenge for our newly centralized (read: in Ottawa) computer support services. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1qciLPr
June 1, 2014. Cycled down the river valley trail in Dieppe, which weaves in and among the estuaries (one is pictured here). The trail has been extended by three or four kilometers, which is great, but it's not quite ready for casual cyclying and has gullies and loose gravel. That's why I came home today bruised and bloody, after a couple of hard crashes. But hey! New trail! from Flickr http://ift.tt/1qciMTs
May 17,. 2014. That's my bicycle in the foreground, halfway through a 53 kilometre ride to Salisbury and back. I had a waffle cone with maple butter on the top and butter pecan on the bottom. Difficult ride today, lots of wind. But I did enjoy listening to the Cards beat Atlanta 4-1. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1qciJXS
June 11, 2014. Beautiful day outside. Many meetings inside, plus getting caught up on quite a backlog. It doesn't help when Alex takes up his usual position in front of my computer screen (not that I ever kick him off). IFTTT feed still broken. from Flickr http://ift.tt/1mJIRCW
June 7, 2014. Cold and grey today, but I cycled around the city and visited this, the growing tribute to our RCMP officers on Main Street downtown. A large crowd gathered last night in the rain; there was a small crowd this afternoon and I'm sure an even larger crowd will be out there tonight. from Flickr http://flic.kr/p/nBdyrt
June 6, 2014. In a steady downpour this afternoon I went out to Hildegaard to see and photograph the memorial to the three RCMP officers slain on Wednesday. It was nice to see the heavy traffice there and on Mountain Road, the way it should be, and to see the memorial at the RCMP office downtown. from Flickr http://flic.kr/p/nAAwnn
Junr 5, 2014. This is Mountain Road from my corner, looking west toward the police blocake (about a kilometer up, out of view behind the bend). It's a main road and normally filled with traffic right now during rush hour. Today, almost nothing. from Flickr http://flic.kr/p/nQn9tS

June 3, 2014. This cute little building in Dieppe is where I go to have my teeth cleaned (and scraped and prodded). from Flickr http://flic.kr/p/nRPqTg
June 2, 2014. This is a rare glimpse into the raspberry jungle known as our backyard - I hobbled back there for today's photo, which is about as far as I can go on my bruised leg (ironically I'm good for cycling, so I was able to get to work and back - I spent the day cleaning up gRSShopper issues so I can have a hosted version ready for September). from Flickr http://flic.kr/p/ny2xPr
