May 29, 2015. Cabela's opened here in Moncton yesterday on what was once a beautiful piece of parkland, so I took some of my noon hour to visit today. This is a former deer stuffed and mounted for the viewing pleasure of the clientele. Cabela's caters to the hunting and fishing crowd, and it made me wonder whether New Brunswick has enough wildlife left to support all the firearms, meat processing equipment, and shock-collars for dogs (to keep them from barking) for sale in this store. Oh well, after these people are finished, we won't need to worry about elk and deer being displaced by Irving's clear-cutting operations. From Flickr
